### My meditative journey

I started meditating back in 2017. At the beginning, I could only sit 5 minutes maximum. It was not very enjoyable, but I kept doing it because a friend highly recommended it. After a couple of months, I increased my time to 20 minutes and then even 40 minutes a day. My sits were based on the book The Mind Illuminated, but I did not strictly follow it. Then suddenly one day I had a profound experience during meditation.

After that, I realized the potential of meditation and wanted to go deeper. I started practicing 1.5 - 2 hours every day and started going on silent retreats (those things where you do not speak for 10 days and just meditate). I have done a year of shamatha/concentration meditation (based on The Mind Illuminated), 1 year of vipassana meditation (based on noting) and I am currently exploring the non-dual tradition (if these words do not mean anything to you, I completely understand).

## Why am I doing this?

1. The first reason is just that I like it. I like teaching and guiding people on their meditative journey.
2. The second reason is to help people. Meditation has brought me a ton of benefits and I want to share that with other people.

## Costs

The costs are 10 euros to start the course. This is to make sure people don't drop out as easily and make them more committed. Afterwards I ask for a donation. This is voluntary and not a set price. However, in order to give this course I need support and money from people taking it. Therefore, donation is very important to help me and other people to receive this course.
